Dutch building material supplier Witzand has had a new premises built in Amelo, featuring a brand new access control system, courtesy of ASSA ABLOY SmartAir.
A plethora of SMARTair™ devices, including wireless, battery-powered escutcheons, cylinders and wall readers, have all ensured security at the new building, to meet demands of a busy mixed-use environment.
Authorised employees can use offices and warehouse spaces they need, with shoppers only able to access the retail areas of the new superstore.
“This building is our showroom and must come with a modern access control system: SMARTair is the right system for us,” commented Kevin Hoitink from the Witzand store.
Witzand are a renowned supplier of wood and other building materials, starting life in the 1890s.
SMARTair wireless access control allows Witzand facility managers to tailor the precise security levels needed for different areas of the building.
Managing and amend access rights for every site user is very easy, ensuring authorised employees can enter and leave freely, whilst keeping everyone else out.
The Almelo installation runs via an Update on Card system, which is perfect for premises with medium to high daily user traffic. This system allows administrators to set time-limited access rights and order audit trails when required.
Strategically located wall updaters provide a link between the software and the SMARTair™-protected doors.
Non-specialists can also manage a SMARTair™ installation with the bundled, full-featured TS1000 admin software.
