Sika Sarnafil‘s newest flat roofing innovation is a unique ‘peel and stick’ self-adhered single ply membrane which does not require a primer.
Simple and speedy to fit, it also alleviates the possible risks associated with adhesives and primers, making it the trustworthy choice for contractors and specifiers.
The G410-15 EL SA membrane combines Sika Sarnafil’s tried and tested BBA certified single ply membrane with new self-adhesive technology, researched and developed in Switzerland. The adhesive is factory installed, so no need for on-site application.
This new technology means the membrane does not need a primer and is free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
This substantially speeds up the installation process and is also beneficial from a health and safety and environmental perspective, reducing the risks for the specifier, contractor and client.
The absence of VOCs means the new system is particularly ideal for sensitive environments such as hospitals, schools and other public buildings which could be used during roofing works.
Dean Grady, Product Manager for Single Ply Membranes at Sika said: “This new roofing system was born out of listening to our customers and finding out what they really need.
“As market leaders it’s important to constantly reassess the market and develop new technologies to advance the installation, health and safety and sustainability of roofing products.
“We’re not a company to rest on our laurels and the launch of our new self-adhered membrane proves just that.
“It’s an industry first that is fast and straightforward to fit faultlessly, while giving architects and clients the reassurance they need when it comes to specifying a safe and robust roofing system.”
