Norfolk students protected by Bull Products

  • 30 May 2018

Bull Products has supplied its Cygnus wireless alarm systems to St Stephens Towers, a £45m refurbishment project that will provide accommodation for over 700 students in Norfolk.

The devices are for whilst work is taking place on the site which, upon completion, will offer purpose-built apartments with social spaces featuring a cinema, gymnasium, study rooms, and a series of lounge spaces for the students at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the Norwich University of Arts.

The Cygnus System on site includes the Control Panel, Fire Call Point Alarm, Fire Call Point and First Aid Alarm.

A Life Point Pro Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and five bespoke first aid safety stations with first aid equipment have also recently been added.

The Life Point Pro Defibrillator is designed to keep sudden cardiac arrest victims alive (until emergency responder services are present) by directing the user with voice commands. The unit automatically analyses the ECG signal of the patient and decides whether defibrillation is required.

Matthew Trigwell, Sales Director at Bull Products, commented: “We’re pleased to be working on this project and supplying a range of products to ensure maximum site safety.

“As the project progresses, the Cygnus system can be moved around to the different storeys, thus providing a flexible, cost-effective, and reliable solution, while an AED ensures workers are protected if emergency responders are unable to get to the site in time.”
