Alumasc steel rainwater specified for stunning refurbishment

  • 27 Jun 2018

The Potting Shed restaurant pub in Langley, Kent; the latest refurbishment project to benefit from Infinity – Alumasc Rainwater‘s high-performance steel rainwater system.

A member of the ‘Elite Pubs Club’, the traditional building is set in the stunning Kentish countryside; this project saw existing gutters and downpipes replaced, with new ones fitted on an extension, built to home a new seating area with open bar and theatre kitchen.

The contractor chose steel because of its innate strength and durability, and due to the versatility of Infinity steel rainwater to suit traditional and contemporary buildings.

Steel will not crack or corrode, needs minimal maintenance and resists thermal expansion; and Infinity’s 15-year product warranty guarantees long-term peace of mind for specifiers and property owners.

Infinity is also lightweight and easy to install. A dry joint system removes the need for additional silicone sealant, and the gutter lengths and angles are jointed with EPDM rubber sealed connectors for fast and watertight installation.

The cool look of plain galvanised steel was the preferred choice for The Potting Shed, but Infinity is also available in a range of colours, including black and anthracite grey ex-stock and others to order such as Moss Green, Copper Brown and Dusty Grey.

Infinity also benefits from ‘Robust’ – a unique and innovative polyester colour coating system consisting of three layers of protection for UV and scratch resistance, making it a very hard-wearing and durable system that won’t shrink, crack or fade in colour.

Alumasc Rainwater National Sales Manager Pete Wainer, commented: “We’ve noticed a rising demand for steel rainwater in recent months as specifiers, contractors and property owners realise the benefits of a metal system.

“Steel gutters and downpipes are durable, stylish and easy to install. And at a comparable price to plastic, it’s a win-win all round.”
