State of the art security pass for largest heritage-style window

  • 9 Jul 2018

Roseview Windows has achieved PAS 24 accreditation for its largest Ultimate Rose sash window to date, which is based on REHAU’s Heritage range, showcasing to customers that large span, traditional style windows are possible, with no compromise on safety and security.

Based in Buckinghamshire, Roseview Windows was founded in 1977; specialising in the design and fabrication of the UK’s most authentically styled sash windows since 1985.

All of Roseview’s window designs are made from uPVC, to give customers all the benefits of modern manufacturing techniques, energy efficiency, sound insulation and low maintenance, but all within a sash window profile.

Roseview’s Ultimate Rose window comes in a variety of sizes, but enquiries from Victorian schools and hospitals about larger sash windows led to the design of a 3000mm (H) x 1500mm (W) size frame.

With a strong 35mm mid-rail, Roseview had confidence that the range extension would be as secure as other Ultimate Rose windows, and so it was tested for PAS 24; which it subsequently passed.

Richard Burrells, Director at Roseview Windows, commented: “As the first company in the UK to make uPVC sash windows, we have always gone above and beyond in ensuring that our products provide a first-rate service, live up to the standards of quality and is good value for money.

“We are delighted that the Ultimate Rose window has passed the PAS24 test at this size and look forward to the upcoming projects of this nature.”

The Ultimate Rose window is a unique offer to the windows market, made with profile from REHAU’s Heritage systems and other bespoke material.

It is fully mechanically jointed, meaning there are no tell-tale signs that the window is uPVC, and it possesses the slimmest mid-rail on the market.

Given it is so authentic in design, it is a supreme alternative window for installations where customers seek the benefits of modern uPVC, whilst needing to comply with conversation rules.

Mark Collins, Area Sales Manager from REHAU, added: “We have been working with Roseview Windows for several decades now and what has stood out is their ability to consistently provide solutions for a vast range of projects that yield fantastic results.

“The fact that the Ultimate Rose has passed this test is yet another testament to the standard of products produced by them.”

The PAS 24 is a Product Assessment Specification that specifies acceptance criteria relevant to the enhanced security performance of doors and windows intended to resist methods of break-ins and burglaries.
