Imperial Bricks has introduced a new range of seven different waterstruck bricks, available from stock in metric sizes, to work with modern blocks and lintels.
Waterstruck bricks have a unique texture because of the traditional methods of production. The bricks are soft-mud moulded using clay with a high water content and water is also used as the releasing agent, giving the bricks a relatively smooth appearance.
The new range is available in standard metric sizes, making the bricks perfect for use on high-end luxury developments that seek the variety and authentic character handmade bricks offer.
Imperial’s new Waterstruck bricks were developed following demand for an extended metric range. The first seven options available in metric sizing are Traditional Buff Waterstruck, Buff Multi Waterstruck, Mellow Multi Waterstruck, Antique Multi Waterstruck, Rural Red, Rural Red Multi and Weathered Rural Red. The bricks are pre-blended in packs of 336 and are F2 frost resistant.
Jason Hughes, MD at Imperial Bricks, said the new waterstruck range had already been specified in a number of luxury home developments, adding that it measures up exactly with modern blocks and lintels.
The entire range is also available as brick slips, suitable for internal feature walls, decorative fireplaces or as external cladding on timber frame or other methods of modern construction.
