Janisol Arte 2.0, the second-generation renovation window from steel systems specialist Schueco Jansen, is popular with architects due to its enhanced specification, improved performance characteristics and ability to satisfy the visual concerns of local authority planners and conservation officers.
Now regarded the preferred solution for many refurbishment projects, in particular those involving a listed building, elegantly ‘retro’ Janisol Arte 2.0 offers an enlarged range of profiles with slim sight-lines from 25 mm.
A larger choice of glazing bead shapes, right-angled, bevelled, scotia and flat, makes it even simpler to find an exact match for the steel windows being replaced.
Furthermore, since laser-welded profiles can now be added to standard Arte profiles, mullion spans can be significantly increased, allowing the Janisol Arte 2.0 window to accommodate much larger areas of fenestration.
Available in all the opening types commonly encountered in both pre and post-war industrial buildings, maximum vent weights have increased to 150 kg, thanks to the introduction of state-of-the-art, 3D adjustable stainless steel hinges.
Another bonus is simpler fabrication techniques lower manufacturing time by up to 85%, meaning that six and a half Janisol Arte 2.0 vents can be produced in the time it took to make a single vent in the previous system.
Special new foam profiles located between the glass and the frame mean that the insulation in the Janisol Arte 2.0 window has been substantially enhanced and following the introduction of insert profiles, which also speed up fabrication times, the result is even more reliable drainage.
In addition, because all Janisol Arte 2.0 profiles now go through the latest ZF 100 galvannealed hot-dip process, corrosion resistance has been improved and processing weldability enhanced.
Finally, as well as standard, premium-quality steel profiles, clients can opt for Janisol Arte 2.0 profiles in high-grade austenitic 1.4401 stainless steel or Corten steel, completing a specification that is believed to be unmatched by any other renovation window on the market.
