Washroom Washroom creates washrooms to match building’s industrial theme

Washroom Washroom was recently chosen to install new washrooms and showers at International House, part of the St Katherine’s dock estate next to Tower Bridge, as part of a complete refurbishment of the building.

As part of the refurbishment, a new entrance hall, floating hub and roof terrace have been created to make the most of the building’s dockside location and its warehouse-style office space.

Washroom supplied products for levels one, two, five and six as well as the new staff shower and changing area in the basement. Designed with the heritage and industrial feel of the building in mind, the washrooms boast dark green metro tiles in a herringbone pattern with contrasting grouting and unique feature mirrors with pendant lighting.

Washroom manufactured and installed vanity units which comprise of a Corian worktop and individual countertop basins all set on a custom-made black metal frame, with inset waste bins and wall mounted taps for a sleek look. 

Washroom’s full height Alto toilet cubicles were manufactured with a high-pressure laminate finish in white, which together with its black high-pressure laminate Concerto integrated duct panel system behind the WCs and urinals, creates a contemporary monochrome effect.

The cubicles also feature a unique flush front fascia which creates a smooth virtually seamless façade and provides an unrivalled design statement for areas where luxury and uncompromising style are essential.

In the staff shower and changing areas in the basement, Washroom installed its Forza lockers in a range of different shapes and sizes, with the majority large enough to comfortably accommodate a suit. Manufactured in plain white solid grade laminate for durability, the lockers were finished with visible ventilation holes to tie in with the rest of the building’s interior. Finally, Washroom’s wooden bespoke legato bench units complete the industrial-feel changing area.
