Charcon landscaping for Blackpool park

  • 5 Sep 2018

Charcon Hard Landscaping is supporting a project to restore Anchorsholme Park to its previous glories, as deep rooting engineering works on the Blackpool seafront location gather pace.

Since 2015, the park has been occupied by United Utilities, which is investing £80m to improve the sewage systems and clean up the sea’s bathing waters.

As engineering works finish, the park will be re-landscaped and new facilities will be included; a bowling club, café, outdoor seating area, children’s playground, sports area with tennis courts, and a trim trail.

For the park’s regeneration, 2,286 square metres of premium quality Andover Textured Block Paving has been ordered for the hard landscaping.

Incorporating uniquely formulated Cornish aggregates to maximise performance, this incredibly durable and stylish paving is perfect for pedestrian areas and pathways, where heavy foot traffic occurs.

All works is set for completion by 2020, with the park accessible from the beach and a new stretch of Prince’s Way, where multi-million pound sea defences have already opened.

Mark Barter, Sales Director at Charcon, commented: “The Anchorsholme Park project is incredibly exciting as it will see the return of much-loved community park with brand new leisure facilities for residents and visitors to the area to enjoy.

“With our knowledge and product proficiency, we are ideally placed to work on this landscaping project and we’re looking forward to seeing the park come back to life in the coming months.”
