Homebuilding and Renovating Show

Research shows The Homebuilding & Renovating Show provides serious quality audience

  • 17 Sep 2018

The number of visitors attending The Homebuilding & Renovating Shows who are working on a live project is increasing year on year, according to new research from the event organisers Future PLC.

The final show of 2017 emphasised the quality and commitment of the show’s audience, with 80% of visitors undertaking a live project, significantly increasing the ROI for exhibitors.

As a result, organisers are now issuing a call for entry to those that are interesting in exhibiting at this year’s London and Harrogate events taking place in ExCeL (21 – 23 September) and HCC (2 – 4 November).

A recent show survey showed 32% of the audience had more than £100k to spend and 84% made or considered making a purchase as a result of visiting the show.

For exhibitors, this offers significant benefits, as the main reason the majority of attendees attend the shows is to find the right products and services for their upcoming or current projects.

The new GDPR legislation also means the event provides an opportunity for exhibitors to meet new clients face-to-face and shore up their databases with fresh quality and relevant contacts.

Nick Noble, commercial & events director at Future PLC, commented: “The Homebuilding & Renovating Shows are the go-to events for any serious self-builder or renovator.

“From our research, we know that we attract committed, serious visitors who have live projects and are very passionate about their building and renovating works.

“We’re delighted that we can bring the latest products in the industry directly to the individuals who are most excited to see them.

“At our London show last year, 53 per cent of visitors admitted that they do not visit any other show, as The Homebuilding & Renovating Show has everything they need under one roof.”

The events endeavour to deliver advice and resources for visitors who wish to build their own home or renovating it.

They cover a wide range of interests, including:

  • extensions
  • conversions
  • home DIY
  • planning permission
  • interiors
  • lighting
  • doors
  • windows
  • renewable technologies
  • heating systems
  • project insurance
  • energy efficiency
  • home insurance
  • building regulations

The Homebuilding & Renovating Show’s portfolio consists of seven shows this year, covering key venues including Birmingham, London, Harrogate, Glasgow, Surrey, Somerset, Edinburgh, and their nearby affluent areas.

As well as this, event organisers are planning the brand’s expansion by launching another exhibition at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre in January next year.
