Mul-T-Lock’s eCLIQ® takes security to a new level for large retailers

  • 25 Oct 2018

Mul-T-Lock has launched its new eCLIQ® access control system for larger retailers, giving organisations the ability to remotely manage access permissions at the click of a button.

The new and advanced eCLIQ® technology allows organisations to both give and revoke access permissions remotely.

This includes the ability to schedule individual access permissions for each key, as well as to provide time-limited access – if a key is lost, access can be also be removed using the eCLIQ® software, all managed from a cloud-based system.

Mul-T-Lock’s eCLIQ® system is especially useful for larger retailers that can experience a high staff turnover – the ability to take away access permissions when an employee leaves ensures retailers can uphold their security.

This not only provides greater security, but also substantially lowers whole life costing – in the past, when a mechanical key is lost, security can only be given by replacing the whole mechanical suite of locks at a hefty cost.

Now, eCLIQ® takes security to a new dimension, giving retailers maximum control over security, as well as ongoing maintenance costs.

Mul-T-Lock’s eCLIQ® is the ideal solution for a variety of applications, such as in a 24-hour supermarket where members of staff are coming and going at various times of the day, and for granting time-limited access to contractors and delivery drivers.

eCLIQ® is a completely electronic locking system based on the mechanical precision and microelectronic modules of ASSA ABLOY’s CLIQ® technology.

The electronic contact between keys and cylinders transmits power and data securely, with AES encryption.

Working on a modular system, cylinders are speedy and simple to install, with no cabling needed, offering an easy-to-install and low maintenance solution for retailers.

Key batteries are fast and easy to replace once every 30,000 operations, at a nominal cost to the business, with specialist tools not required.

The available cylinders are also suitable for a range of different applications, from office doors and cold storage areas to external gates and even potentially explosive areas – there is also a varied range of compatible padlocks available, designed for all weather conditions.

Mul-T-Lock’s eCLIQ® technology offers automation and integration and collects important information. It allows for traceability, enhancing security for retailers and offering operational efficiencies.
