CMS Window Systems shortlisted for top construction industry award

  • 6 Dec 2018

CMS Window Systems is vying to win one of the construction industry’s most prestigious awards, as it has been named a finalist in the 2019 Construction News Specialists Awards.

The leading UK-wide manufacturer and installer of aluminium and PVC windows, doors and curtain walling, has been shortlisted for the award of ‘Specialist Contractor of the Year (turnover over £25m)’.

This recognises building industry supply chain partners who demonstrate a clear strategy and vision and exceed their business objectives, with stand-out performance in terms of project delivery, innovation, sustainability, health and safety, employee wellbeing and workplace culture.

David Ritchie, CEO of CMS Window Systems, expressed his delight at the nomination: “It’s a testament to our long term business strategy and the great effort that our whole team puts in every day to deliver products and services of the highest quality. It’s a fantastic way to round off our most successful year to date.”

This nomination news comes hot on the heels of CMS winning an internationally recognised award for environmental excellence, the Green World Award, which follows national recognition in 2017, when it won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

The company has grown to become a major supply chain partner to many of the UK’s leading main contractors, developers and local authorities, now employing over 270 people at its manufacturing and recycling centres at Cumbernauld near Glasgow and Kirkcaldy in Fife.

Winners will be announced on 27 March next year, at a glamorous ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, where more than 1,000 of the industry’s elite will join together for an evening of entertainment, celebration and networking.
