ULTRA3 is sewerage system of choice for major house builders

  • 19 Dec 2018

ULTRA3 from JDP offers the ideal solution for modern sewerage systems that focus on installation, sustainability and compliance.

In the South West, ULTRA3 sewer systems are becoming increasingly popular for adoptable drainage at multiple sites by the likes of Bloor Homes, Bovis Homes, Persimmon Homes, C G Fry & Sons and Strongvox.

Manufactured from PVC-U and certified (Kitemarked) to BS EN 13476-2 as a SN8 rated smooth-wall structured layer pipe, ULTRA3 can be used in both house drainage (110mm/160mm) and adoptable sewers (160mm – 315mm) compliant with Water Authority requirements.

Wayne Sutton, JDP Key Accounts Manager comments: “CJL Construction used ULTRA3 in conjunction with CPM’s Perfect Manhole system and large diameter concrete pipes. By switching from regular adoptable sewer pipe systems to JDP’S ULTRA3, the customer could see a cost saving of up to 30%.”

Sutton continues: “It’s much lighter than the clay pipes that are traditionally used in housebuilding, so it’s easier to handle on site — ideal on small housing estates with little sit space.”

Available in longer lengths to alternative solutions, the ULTRA3 has a huge advantage if a site is low on space to store stock as fewer pipes needed means less space is used for storage on site. In addition, the longer lengths are much quicker to install than the traditional method of clay pipe too, providing both monetary and time savings in terms of labour and machinery.

ULTRA3 lengths are versatile and durable which minimises the risk of breakages on site making for a more reliable choice and secure drainage system. The pipes come with a socket so you are able to lay them back to back and the push fit fittings with integral seals ensure they are easily connected, and quickly.

Other benefits of ULTRA3 include its intermediary layer of at least 40% recycled material. Traditional sizing also ensures direct connections to PPIC and AXEDO® chambers. ULTRA3 also benefits from high-pressure water jetting up to 4,000 psi — compliant with the most stringent of water authority maintenance requirements.

The trapped ring seal on all fittings all but guarantees a successful air test on the first try, as long as the fittings are installed properly, ensuring an ULTRA3 system is one of the most consistent systems to install and be ready for service.

With a full complement of sized fittings and adaptors, ULTRA3 is the ultimate underground sewer drainage system.
