A luxury new development of a former John Lewis building has been enhanced by the supply and installation of the UK’s premium timber window and door brand, Lomax + Wood.
In the contract, valued at over £200,000, was 107 timber box sash windows and two timber French doors, with supply and installation, plus a bespoke design service to incorporate period detailing included.
The windows were fully finished, with high performance assured for this fabulous London based development of an Edwardian period property which has been transformed into luxury apartments.
Former residents of this stunning historical London property include George Bernard Shaw, Virginia Woolf and the poet Arthur Rimbaud.
Chris Wood, MD at Lomax + Wood, commented: “We worked closely with the architects and developer to ensure our high performance timber windows enhanced the property and in no way detracted from the period design.
“In addition to the conservation work we carried out in producing our made-to-order wooden sash windows we ensured they met the acoustic and performance requirements of all those concerned.
“I am also glad both the developer and architect did not pay lip service to sustainability. They ensured they bought timber windows with FSC® Chain Of Custody, too often sustainability and the FSC® brand are used in documents with no real intent to purchase.”
The Lomax + Wood range of timber windows and doors are produced with knot free engineered timber, combined with micro-porous spray applied paint and UK designed and tested details.
The attention to detail, premium quality products and an installation service has seen Lomax + Wood rise to become one of the UK’s most specified made-to-order timber window brands.
With the sash windows and French doors on this prestigious London project supplied and fitted, both the architect and developer had confidence that their lives would be made easier with only one point of contact.
Lomax + Wood also provided their warehouse service, which allowed for the windows and doors to be stored in a controlled environment and only delivered to site, with the harsh conditions that entails, until the actual point of fitting.
The Essex Lomax + Wood showroom has been enhanced with the addition of an internal door display and aluminium composite windows and doors.
These have been added to the Lomax + Wood timber windows and door offer, to allow customers to purchase more from the same brand and continue to meet the increasing demand for the Lomax + Wood supply and fit service.
English Spirit Distillery has used an extensive package of Altro products front and back of house, in their new visitor centre café, shop and viewing area for the working distillery.
