Aspex has secured a contract to supply its trio of doorsets to a residential development in Shoreditch, London.
Aspex has supplied its Novista system to The Makers apartment development on Nile Street, which comprises of 175 apartments over 28 storeys, with private roof gardens, lounges for ad-hoc meetings, and a co-located college.
Working with architects Avanti, and designers Woods Bagot, the project needed a minimalistic and sleek design to match the interior surroundings, which includes smoked oak apartment entrance doors and bespoke brass ironmongery.
Within the apartments, Aspex has supplied its Novista hinged and sliding doorsets, all of which meet the architectural demand required for the project.
Ashley Burberry, MD of Aspex UK, commented: “We have noticed that there is an increasing demand for functional doors on residential projects because they disappear from view, offering a finish that matches the surroundings.
“Regardless of the project specification, minimalistic designed doors complement any interior structure and our Novista system has provided the ideal contemporary solution for this project.”
Aspex has supplied its Novista Doorsets to all of the internal apartment store cupboards. These include a TUT doorframe fully concealed within the wall, and a factory painted white door leaf that blends into the wall, giving a visual effect of creating more space.
The company has also supplied its Novista Pocket Sliding Doors to the en-suite bathrooms in the apartments. They open into the wall cavity to save space, whilst the soft closing mechanism and nylon rollers ensure that the doors close safely and silently.
Within each apartment, access is required to a fan cooler unit and the Novista Riser Steel Doorsets have also been selected as they have an acoustic rating of 41dB, therefore preventing any unwanted noise with the frame fully concealed within the wall.
