A ‘different mindset’ means business growth – Hambleside Danelaw

  • 30 Oct 2020

A ‘different mindset’ is resulting in further business growth for the UK’s largest independent builders merchant, explains Hambleside Danelaw.

MKM Building Supplies has opened its latest branch, in Mansfield, bringing its nationwide network to 60. The new branch is headed by Tony Daynes, aka Mr Mansfield, who brings a lifetime’s experience of hands-on building and roofing in the region.

Tony commented: “It’s a different mind- set, that runs throughout MKM, and sets us apart. We’re not just order takers, we’re about being part of our customers’ team, helping them provide a quality solution at a competitive price, with the autonomy to make decisions right for each local market.

“That’s why at Mansfield we’ve chosen the range of Danelaw dry fix ventilation solutions as a core component of our range. It ensures we have consistency and reliability of quality in product: that is essential to me.

“To my mind, it makes economic sense to buy Danelaw: to have that continuity of stock.

“Even if a customer runs out half way through a job, he knows he can pick up the phone and have the same product, the same quality, the same colour, on site as soon as needed – we even have a ‘panic van’ to rush those orders to site.”

The Mansfield branch of MKM Building Supplies now stocks the entire range of Danelaw pitched roofing products including roofing underlays, flashings and dry fix ridge, hip and verge solutions.

Danelaw products can be ordered from MKM Mansfield from the depot in Sherwood Oaks Business Park (subject to COVID-19 guidelines), or by telephoning 01623 373737.
