Abloy UK has further strengthened its team with the appointment of Simon Wilson as Business Development Manager for the Healthcare Sector. With an extensive background in the industry, Simon will lead the business development of digital access solutions within both private and public healthcare settings.
Simon brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having spent over a decade within the ASSA ABLOY family. His journey began in 2004, where he specialised in mechanical master key systems. Over the years, Simon progressed within the organisation, showcasing his expertise in digital access solutions, notably PROTEC2 CLIQ, Abloy’s electromechanical master key system.
His dedication and proficiency led him to become National Sales Manager for CLIQ, where he demonstrated the versatility of the solution across various applications. Simon’s commitment to innovation and his customer-centric approach meant he was then promoted to CLIQ business Development Manager, further solidifying his position as a trusted advisor.
After a brief hiatus to focus on family, Simon now joins Abloy UK with renewed vigour, drawn by the opportunity to apply his expertise to the healthcare sector and get face-to-face with existing and prospective clients again. His passion for customer engagement and innovative solutions, coupled with his extensive product knowledge make him an invaluable asset to the team.
Simon comments: “When we talk about ‘healthcare’, people often assume this is limited to hospitals and GP surgeries. However, healthcare touches a range of sectors such as educational premises, corporate environments, veterinary clinics, and pharmaceutical facilities.
“I’m keen to engage with stakeholders across all of these applications, and discuss the benefits of comprehensive digital access solutions for anyone tasked with healthcare management and drug control.
“My ambition is to connect with customers to explain how Abloy solutions such as PROTEC2 CLIQ, Aperio, and the KL100 cabinet lock can positively impact on every-day life. For me, that’s the best part of the job, being able to show how our solutions can truly make a difference.”
