The Automatic Door Suppliers Association (ADSA) Members Conference is on the runway and ready for take-off at the RAF Museum, Cosford, in Shropshire, on 11 November.
It promises to be a day of professional development and networking, with a variety of activities, seminars, breakout sessions and a celebrity guest speaker – English ski-jumper and Olympian Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards.
The conference, with the theme ‘Flying High – Dare to Dream’, includes lunch and a tour of the air museum, coinciding with a very poignant date – Remembrance Day.
The event, which includes the association’s annual general meeting, has undergone an extension to encompass professional development opportunities including breakout sessions, an update on the work of the association, an industry standards update and opportunities to network with colleagues from the industry.
It will also feature a ‘Life Stories’ style interview with Eddie the Eagle, a former plasterer from Cheltenham, who has experienced tremendous highs and lows but whose positivity and determination will be an inspiration to many.
Ken Price, ADSA Managing Director, comments: “It is wonderful to be able to reinstate our annual event for members after all the uncertainty of the pandemic. Unfortunately, after hosting a tremendous event at the National Memorial Arboretum in 2019, we were forced to cancel our event last year.
“We wanted to return bigger and better than ever – moving away from a traditional AGM format to something would provide real added value to members, extending learning opportunities while celebrating our resilience as an industry. ADSA boasts an extensive range of members, from major manufacturers to sole traders.
“Taking time out of the working week to attend an event like this can be significant, so the team here at the ADSA has worked together to produce an event which will be both educational and informative.”
The event is free to attend for ADSA members. To register, phone Rachel or Beth on 01827 216136 or email [email protected] or [email protected]
