Aggregate Industries continue to be recognised at British Credit Awards

  • 20 Feb 2019

Aggregate Industries has been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) at the prestigious British Credit Awards.

This success makes the leading player in the construction and infrastructure industries the only company to have won awards for six consecutive years.

The Credit Services team at Aggregate Industries bagged the Corporate Social Responsibility and Project of the Year accolades, whilst Credit Manager Sarah Hicken was highly commended as Credit Professional of the Year.

For the Project of the Year title, Aggregate Industries was recognised for its innovative use of the Storm telephone system to link the Credit Services team with Regional Customer Centres.

The judges were impressed with the team’s planning and implementation of the system, along with the methodology used to gain support and engagement across the wider business and the overall outcome.

In terms of Corporate Social Responsibility, Aggregate was recognised for the outstanding contribution the team has made to the community, courtesy of designated volunteering days, contributions towards a local school playground, and working with the Big Issue to offer a seller valuable work experience.

Phil Rice, Head of Credit at Aggregate Industries, commented: “We are thrilled to have been recognised by the CICM in not one but three categories – it is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and commitment of the entire Credit Services Team.

“The fact that we’re the only company to receive awards for six years running is the icing on the cake.

“We strive to continually look at ways to develop our systems and processes to lead with a best practise approach and differentiate ourselves from competitors.

“We also pride ourselves on making a positive difference to the wider community, which is why the Corporate Social Responsibility award is particularly special for us.”

Aggregate Industries produces, imports and supplies an array of construction materials. The company also exports aggregate and offers national road surfacing and contract services.
