Alumasc Water Management Solutions has launched a new, upgraded version of its popular online drainage calculator, which measures and specifies the drainage requirements based on user defined rainfall events.
The newly upgraded Online Calculator is an innovative digital platform encompassing four Alumasc brands: Rainwater, Harmer, Wade and Gatic, allowing users to design their entire rain-to-drain solutions across the building envelope from one place – making it much easier to use.
Designed for architects, specifiers and engineers, the Online Calculator is now bigger and better than ever before and allows professionals to design and quantify all their rainwater drainage requirements using an advanced platform, providing accurate results on flow rates for Alumasc Rainwater Gutters and Downpipes, Harmer & Wade flat roof and balcony drainage and Gatic Slotdrain.
Michael Taylor, Regional Key Account Manager – South, comments: “We are pleased to be launching the new Alumasc Water Management Solutions Online Calculator, which provides a platform for our customers to calculate their drainage requirements from the market leading brands within the Alumasc Water Management Solutions Division.
“Our customers will experience a whole new cloud-based system, giving flexibility to when and where they wish to design their drainage systems whilst maintaining confidence in its usability and accuracy.
“Past users of the previous desktop-based software will see similarities with the new Online Calculator, whilst also noticing many new features, allowing for better optimisation of their calculation and a more robust solution.”
The new edition boasts several key features including a new, interactive rainfall map allowing clients to define the exact location for rainfall data, links to NBS specifications, detailed drawings and help pages, and the ability to save their progress and return to the calculation later from any device and location. Clients can also expect regular updates and new features and a Contact Us option which provides the correct point of contact for the brand.
Additional features include the ability to import Flood Estimation Handbook (FEH) data sets for the client’s personal use and an option to export to PDF and Excel Calculation Document, which provides a printout of the calculation and product selection.
As well as all these practical features, the Online Calculator also has the option of allowing a company to create a ‘Practice’ to enable sharing between colleagues. This means individuals from the same company can access the data and pick up jobs left by another individual in the company. Furthermore, users can share and download the results as a PDF document.
