For almost 90 years, Alumasc has been promoting the efficient use, retention, recycling and disposal of water. Under the Alumasc Water Management Solutions (AWMS) banner, customers benefit from a complete package of rainwater and drainage products that control the flow of rainwater throughout the entire building envelope; all supported by our unrivalled technical teams.
Within the AWMS portfolio, sits Alumasc Rainwater Systems: the UK’s market-leading manufacturer of metal gutters and downpipes, and the only UK manufacturer to offer systems in Aluminium, Cast Iron, Galvanised Steel, Copper and Zinc.
Systems are available to suit both traditional and contemporary architecture, with BBA approved powder coated finishes and bespoke design options, all manufactured to the highest standard for strength, long life and durability.
Where a traditional profile is required, Alumasc’s Heritage Cast Aluminium offers a range of fittings and accessories designed to provide all the key architectural features appropriate to traditionally designed buildings whether new build or refurbishment. Heritage Cast Aluminium can offer a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to cast iron.
Heritage downpipes are extruded sections with cast sockets, offering gutter profile options as follows:
– Half Round
– Beaded Half Round
– Beaded Deep Run
– Victorian Ogee
– Moulded
Heritage Cast Aluminium gutters are manufactured using modern casting techniques and are factory finished. UK manufactured in accordance with BS 8530:2010.
In relation to both the Heritage and Contemporary ranges, the life expectancy of aluminium is 40 years in rural/suburban areas, and up to 25 years in industrial or marine areas. Aluminium is 100% recyclable.
Alumasc’s Contemporary Aluminium Rainwater Systems offer a range of pressed and extruded systems, which are BBA accredited and suitable for traditional and modern buildings. This premium, high-performance rainwater range features a variety of gutter and downpipe profiles, as follows:
– Aqualine and AX extruded aluminium gutter
– GX pressed aluminium gutter
– Flushjoint extruded aluminium pipe
– Swaged aluminium pipe
– Guardian extruded aluminium security pipe
All profiles are lightweight, durable and non-corrodible. UK manufactured to BS EN 573-3:2019.
Alumasc’s Apex Heritage Cast Iron is a popular choice for many listed/heritage and period properties in the UK. It combines traditional manufacture with modern quality control and is available factory primed or pre-painted. Circular, square and rectangular downpipes are available, along with the following choice of gutter profiles:
– Half Round
– Deep Run Half Round
– Beaded Half Round
– Victorian Ogee
– Notts Ogee
– Moulded
All profiles are supplied complete with fittings and accessories ranging from extended bracketry to hopper heads. Bespoke solutions are also available. UK manufactured to BS 460:2002 Cast Iron Rainwater Goods. Cast iron is 100% recyclable.
Infinity is the most recent addition to the Alumasc Rainwater portfolio. Infinity Galvanised Steel, Copper, Quartz Zinc and Natural Zinc are long lasting, eco-friendly, immensely strong and easy to install; popular for a clean, contemporary look. The range is a cost-effective alternative to plastic guttering, without the risk of shrinking, leaking or colour fading.
Various gutter widths are available in the popular Half Round profile along with a connecting circular downpipe system. A box gutter profile is also available in steel. Systems can be supplied in a galvanised finish or a choice of standard colours to suit both commercial and domestic projects.
For coastal projects or locations where more severe weather is a consideration, the new ZM Galvanised finish provides the perfect solution. Its 310g/sqm metallic coating provides enhanced protection with a slower natural weathering process. It is environmentally friendly, fully recyclable, and offers a warranty of up 15 years for C4 environments (ca. 300m-2000m from the seafront) and up to 20 years for C3 environments (ca. 2000m plus, from the seafront).
Infinity is supplied with a manufacturer’s full system warranty of up to 20 years. Manufactured to ISO 9001: 2008 & ISO 14001:2004.
