Ancon Building Products has announced it will exhibit a new range of high integrity structural fixings at Ecobuild 2016 at ExCeL, London from 8-10 March 2016.

A double winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, Ancon will showcase its latest fixing innovations, suitable for new-build construction including low-energy residential developments, on stand number E3080.

Products being displayed will include Ancon’s lightweight Nexus brick faced soffit system, a number of insulated balcony connectors and a new development within the Teplo range of low thermal conductivity wall ties.

Nexus system

The new Nexus system has been developed in partnership with Ibstock-Kevington to provide a lightweight, easy-to-install solution to creating brick soffits of any brick type.

The system combines brick-faced offsite-manufactured building modules with Ancon’s MDC brick support angle to provide quick and easy alignment on site without mechanical lifting.

Insulated stainless steel connectors

Ancon will also be focusing on the exhibition’s sustainable theme by showing ways in which building designers can meet their thermal performance targets.

The company will be showcasing its newly-extended range of insulated stainless steel connectors, enabling structural integrity to be maintained at steel and concrete balcony interfaces without impacting on the building’s thermal efficiency.

The connectors have been developed to create a thermal break in the construction, proven through thermal modelling to help prevent condensation and mould growth.

Sustainable wall ties

EcoBuild 2016 will also see the launch of an extension to Ancon’s Teplo range of ultra-low conductivity basalt fibre wall ties.

By minimising insulation depth and wall footprint, the new wall ties are already helping to shape PassivHaus and Zero Carbon building design. The latest addition to the range will see them become more user friendly for the installer.

Visitors to the stand can also receive customer-focused technical and sales support from the Ancon team.
