Novus Property Solutions' apprentices

Apprentices added to Novus Property Solutions’ expert team

  • 30 Oct 2015

Novus Property Solutions has extended its workforce to include 17 new apprentices, who excelled during the company’s Apprentice Week initiative.

Over the course of its 115-year history, the company has employed over 3,000 apprentices; its commitment to nurturing the leaders of the future earned it the title of Employer of the Year for 2015.

New apprentices

Novus’ Apprentice Week programme was held at the company’s head office in Stoke-on-Trent. Young applicants from a range of trades, including joinery and painting and decorating, were selected to take part.

After receiving health and safety training and completing several practical building challenges, they were assessed on their initiative, work ethic and communication skills whilst working on a new allotment for Thistley Hough Academy.

To conclude the programme, each candidate was interviewed by Novus board members; after a meeting with the company’s directors, 17 successful applicants were offered an apprenticeship.

All of this year’s successful apprentices will be entered into Novus Property Solutions’ Apprentice of the Year award, the winner of which will be announced in December.
