Ardmore Construction has specified NorDan’s NTech range of Scandinavian timber windows, StormGuard three handled windows and glazed single and double balcony doors, for a £50m Phase 4 project at Hearthside and Lethbridge in Lewisham, South East London for Family Mosaic Housing Association.
One of London’s biggest estate regeneration programmes, Heathside and Lethbridge is being carried out over six phases, undertaken by Family Mosaic and the London Borough of Lewisham. The estates will become a mixed tenure development comprising more than 1,200 private and affordable homes.
Phase 4 of the development is being overseen by Ardmore Construction and is formed by a combination of two blocks with seven cores, containing a total of 232 residential units. One block is 13 storeys high, whilst the others range from 4 to 5 storeys.
NorDan is supplying its outward opening fully reversible NTech timber windows to the development. Its windows boast a u-value of 1.2 w/m2k and varying g-values between 0.35, 0.5 and 0.61. Standard acoustic values of 37dB Rw are on all NorDan products within the development.
The company is also providing its 3 handled StormGuard windows to the development for open corridor areas where the windows cant open outwards. StormGuard windows have a removable third handle which provides additional safety but keeps ease of use (inward opening on the third handle) for cleaning and repairs.
Ardmore’s development director, Chris Langdon, said: “ Being appointed on the latest phase of this significant regeneration scheme was a real achievement for the team. We are equally pleased to have cemented our ongoing relationship with key supply chain partners such as NorDan who have tremendous experience of working with us on important regeneration schemes. We have been able to develop excellent ties with the local community over the past five years, and we are looking forward to building further on these, especially in making use of the skills and expertise of our local supply chain to boost regeneration in the area.”
The Heathside and Lethbridge site is due for completion in 2018.
