Ascot Group reaches milestone on 100 employees

  • 20 Apr 2023

The Ascot Group, a marketing services group that serves the construction and building products industry, is celebrating a major milestone after reaching 100 employees.

The group includes Purplex, a full service marketing agency, and Insight Data, a leading provider of business intelligence, and was founded by industry veteran Andrew Scott in 2004.

Andrew comments: “Only 0.3% of the 5.5 million businesses in the UK reach 100 employees so it’s a very special milestone, and it follows 20% year-on-year growth as we help even more customers achieve their goals.”

Andrew’s career in the building products industry stretches 35 years. That time has seen him acquire, build and sell several companies.

He developed the business strategy that propelled Cambrian Windows from 100 to 3,000 products per week in 36 months, before its acquisition by U.S. Fortune 500 company, Masco.

Today, Andrew is a leading consultant to some of the industry’s biggest companies. His marketing company, Purplex, specialises in brand strategy and lead generation, while Insight Data provides almost 1000 users across the industry with in-depth market intelligence, research and marketing data.

Andrew adds: “Over the last 35 years I’ve seen the industry evolve and adapt and it’s been a pleasure to work with, advise or support many of the industry’s most successful companies and leaders. I’m looking forward to seeing where we go next and how we support even more clients.”
