ASSA ABLOY Access Control, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, has appointed Garth Ellam’s as its new Managing Director.

Gareth has worked in the security industry for the past twenty years. His experience includes two years at ASSA ABLOY where he helped launch a number of new products into EMEA, including the Aperio L100 electronic lock.

The company’s new Managing Director will continue the company’s journey of integrating with third party OEM’s to provide cost effective access control solutions.

He commented on his appointment: “I am extremely excited about leading the ASSA ABLOY Access Control team at a time when technology is advancing rapidly and we are moving into a world where access control solutions are becoming part of everyday life for us all.

I believe that ASSA ABLOY is at the front of the race in innovation and a prime example of this is Seos being deployed through the Aperio platform, which is a step towards people using a single device to gain access. It’s an honour to be leading a team who are making great advances in the industry and I’m looking forward to what the future holds in my new role.”
