Pickersgill-Kaye, a trading division of ASSA ABLOY, has teamed up with ASSA ABLOY Security Doors to achieve significant security standards for the British Research Establishment’s (BRE) Red Book.
Pickersgill-Kaye has achieved SR3 and SR4 security rating approval for Loss Prevention Standards LPS 1175: Issue 7 and will be included in the BRE Red Book, colloquially known as the security doors business ‘bible’.
LPS 1175 is the most common of the security door standards and the one specified most by architects based in the UK. Pickersgill-Kaye’s HS100 Series surface mount Single and Multipoint locking range has helped them receive the accreditation for BRE’s catalogue of security products.
The security ratings achieved apply to the doors fitted with Pickersgill-Kaye’s single and multipoint lock versions, made possible after a test programme in partnership with ASSA ABLOY Security Doors.
The combination of Pickersgill-Kaye locks and ASSA ABLOY Security Doors offer incredible levels of resistance from physical attack, without any detriment to health and safety requirements.
They were designed specifically to protect high risk commercial installations and high security national infrastructure.
Pickersgill-Kaye High Security Locking Product Sales Manager, Phil Prigg, talked about how the locks coped with the testing, which involved heavy and specialist attack, using sophisticated tools and techniques such as heavy duty power tools.
“The locks passed with flying colours, demonstrating our commitment to supplying exceptional security solutions for protecting people and property,” he said.
The security market is offered more choice by Red Book accreditation and gives customers access to Pickersgill-Kaye’s substantial locking range available.
Consideration can also be given to the visuals of the complete end user product offering, which is becoming ever more relevant and important through architect driven specifications.
