ASSA ABLOY signs definitive agreement to acquire Arran Isle Ltd in the UK

ASSA ABLOY has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Arran Isle, a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of door and window hardware in the UK and Ireland. 

Arran Isle has a varied portfolio of products primarily trading under the brands of Carlisle Brass and Mila. Businesses within the Arran Isle group date back to 1971 – the group provides a market leading service provision to customers.

ASSA ABLOY is an international group with around 48,000 employees and sales close to €8.4 billion. In the UK, ASSA ABLOY is best known for the Yale and UNION brands. It has its Head Office and main manufacturing centre in Willenhall.

Arran Isle has some 560 employees. Its head office is located in Bradford, with operational activity at sites in UK, Ireland, Europe and China.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. The expectation is for it to close during the fourth quarter of 2021.
