ASSA ABLOY UK appoints new Specification Development Manager

ASSA ABLOY UK Specification has appointed Richard Meakin as its Specification Development Manager for the South.

Richard will be working closely with established architects, using his extensive experience in to provide tailored solutions for major projects in London with a diverse range of requirements. 

Speaking on his appointment, Richard commented: “It is an exciting time in London, which is currently being transformed with a raft of new developments and the demand for office space has seen a revival in commercial construction. 

ASSA ABLOY has a strong pedigree in product solutions but the work the Specification team are doing goes above and beyond that offering added value and a bespoke service proposition to architects and design-led contractors. 

I hope to bring some of my experience in crafting tailored solutions to our clients. I’m really pleased to be working with ASSA ABLOY UK Specification at this time, to play a part in the future landscape of the south.”

Richard will join Senior Specification Manager Christian Baker-Smith. Christian commented: “We’re pleased to welcome into the team someone with invaluable experience in creating bespoke solutions and a good understanding of how to work with architects to achieve their vision. Crucially, Richard is also invested into the ethos and the journey of the UK Specification team. 

Richard will be an asset to the team, offering bespoke consultancy services, as well as delivering design-led specifications to major projects. Richard has a great understanding of how the various elements of a building work together in order to create a functional, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing solution.”
