ASSA ABLOY UK Specification will return to EcoBuild 2016 to showcase its capability in sustainable design and deliver a keynote speech on BIM at the Digital Building Theatre on Tuesday 8th March.
This year’s theme of ‘Design, Construct, Perform’ will be reflected on the UK Specification stand E5160, which will represent its journey to offering bespoke consultancy services and its design-led specification capabilities.
The ASSA ABLOY team will be on hand to discuss its approach to BIM including its experience, in addition to its work to deliver specifications which take into account the access and flow of a building, providing architects with the data required to produce sustainable design-led buildings and substantiated whole life costings.
Meanwhile, BIM Manager Andy Stolworthy will give an overview of the company’s BIM journey to date as part of a practical demonstration for manufacturers at the Digital Building Theatre at 1.30pm.
ASSA ABLOY UK Specification managing director David Wigglesworth commented: “Since launching ASSA ABLOY Specification in the UK, we have worked on several prestigious projects, including Birmingham Dental Hospital, Cheltenham Racecourse and The Olympic Park.
Despite the high profile locations, the most pleasing aspect of working on these projects has been applying our design-led approach and working closely with the architects. The progress we have made this year in creating our BIM capability and using this knowledge to assist architects and designers to fulfil whole life costing and sustainability criteria has been one of the team’s greatest achievements.”
EcoBuild will take place at Excel London from the 8th – 10th March 2016
