Tim Checketts has been appointed specification director at ASSA ABLOY UK Specification.
Tim has worked in specification management for the past 22 years, working with architects and contractors in both electronic and mechanical product sectors.
He most recently worked at Honeywell Security and Fire as head of business development and has also held roles at Newey & Eyre, the Tunstall Group and NG Bailey.
As part of his new role at ASSA ABLOY UK Specification, Tim will be focusing on creating a seamless customer experience, in addition to delivering strategic development and improving commercial operations.
Commenting on his appointment, Tim said: “ASSA ABLOY has undergone a transformative journey and is now recognised amongst architects and design-led contractors as a partner offering value-add services and relieving some of the pinch points during the design and build process.
In undertaking this new role, I hope to accelerate and extend the activities of the specification division, collaborating with specifiers to fully understand the vision and requirements behind each project. By leveraging the combined capabilities of the ASSA ABLOY business units the team can deliver comprehensive design support and full specifications.”
Tim joins ASSA ABLOY UK Specification at a time where the company is launching a number of new initiatives, such as its Openings Studio integrated BIM and scheduling solution for architects and consultants.
