AWS 70 SC outward-opening window proves popular project choice

  • 17 May 2016

Schueco’s outward-opening window system, AWS 70 SC, has proved a popular specification choice for both domestic and commercial projects, including housing, light commercial buildings, schools and hospitals.

Launched two years ago, the AWS 70 SC window features a depth of 70mm, slim sightlines from 63.5mm (outer frame/vent) and a choice of five vent profiles.

The window system – ideal for punched openings, ribbon windows and curtain walling – can accommodate double or triple-glazed units, and achieves a typical U value of 1.6 W/m2K with 1.0 W/m2K glazing units.

Fittings include a choice of standard or heavy-duty stainless-steel friction hinges, in addition to multipoint locking for large vents.

The AWS 70 SC has opening limiters and can has a PAS 24 rating for a high level of security.

Additional options include a projecting sill and different coloured profiles for the inside and outside faces.

90o and variable-angle connections mean Schueco AWS 70 SC can easily accommodate bay windows while offering the additional benefit of being fully compatible with Schueco ADS 70 doors.
