BakerHicks has appointed a new associate director to manage its Civil and Structural Engineering team, based in London.
The position has been filled by Mark Renshaw, a former Elliott Wood Partnership associate with a passion for sustainability.
Mark has spent over 10 years delivering RIBA award-winning projects around London and in the South East. He has worked with a range of specialist materials, architecture and design, across a spectrum of new build, development and refurbishment projects.
Mark’s portfolio includes a mixture of public and private projects, such as the Alfriston School swimming pool, the Princess Square residential developments, and the prestigious Thompson House.
In addition to this, Mark has proven expertise in structural glass design, and the design of basements and temporary works projects. He has worked on important Listed, heritage buildings with historical value.
Mark, who has previously been a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers Sustainable Construction Panel, is excited to join BakerHicks: ‘I am looking forward to building on our existing design and engineering expertise, and expanding into new areas,’ he commented.
BakerHicks is committed to investing in talented professionals to grow its engineering consultancy team; Mark’s skill set was found to complement the existing team well.
Mark will work with the team to design and deliver projects to end-users and clients, liaising with contractors, developers and architects.
