Yorkshire-based cable cleat manufacturer, Ellis Patents, has received an order for an installation in the Philippines from ABB’s Czech offices.

A bespoke adaption of the company’s Emperor cable cleat was specified by ABB in Prague to secure electrical power cables throughout the San Gabriel Avion open cycle gas turbine plant, which is being built in the Bolbok area of Batangas City.

The company, which has enjoyed its past experiences with Ellis Patents, was convinced by the product’s solid design and its ease to assemble.

The recent order demonstrates Ellis’ worldwide standing, which is strengthened by its global network of distributors.

Suitable for use in trefoil and single cable applications, Ellis’ Emperor cable cleat range has been designed for use where high levels of short circuit withstand are essential.

In order to provide corrosion protection in harsh conditions, each of the range’s cleats has been manufactured with type 316L stainless steel. The products also boast a patented design, which allows for fast and simple installation.

An integral LSF zero halogen polymeric liner and base pad has been included to protect and cushion cables during short circuit conditions.

Bespoke versions of the cable cleat can be manufactured to meet project specific needs, as with all of Ellis’ products.
