BIM-enabled tools launched by ASSA ABLOY UK to simplify specification

  • 1 Mar 2017

Global leader in door opening solutions, ASSA ABLOY UK, has announced the launch of 3D, BIM-enabled tools to simplify door and hardware specification.

Openings Studio, a BIM-enabled product specification tool, and BIM Door Solutions, a selection of BIM-ready openings packages streamline the specification process and reduce costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Suitable for all building projects and applications, the software provides product information and performance data to comply with budgets and ensure building regulations are adhered to, while 3D views guarantee full design integration. Collaboration with stakeholders is easy with data available in multiple formats.

The tools are designed to simplify specification and add value at every stage, from design through to construction and beyond, Specification Director, Tim Checketts explained.

The partners have more time to focus on creating high quality sustainable buildings, more efficiently and cost effectively, with these tools. BIM is providing improvements in design, specification, deliver and asset management.
