Mira Leap BioCote Enclosures

BioCote anti-bacterial additive added to Leap enclosure seals

  • 25 May 2016

Mira Showers has improved its Leap enclosure range by introducing BioCote into all of its door seals.

BioCote is an anti-bacterial, anti-microbial additive that prevents discolouration and reduces bacteria and mould growth by up to 99.9 percent.

The incorporation of BioCote into the Leap range means it is now part of Mira’s Flight Low and Safe shower trays, in addition to Flight Modular Wall pre-formed tiling panels.

Leap enclosures

The leap range consists of clean, contemporary enclosures which can be easily installed due to its patented ‘Twist & Lock’ system that removes the need to drill and screw through the door profile, wall jambs and channel to improve installation time by up to 50%.

The enclosures include a choice of 6mm and 8mm CleancoatTM safety glass to provide a solid and refined appearance, whilst offering high corrosion-resistance through high grade aluminium extrusions.

The doors – tested for 32,000 slam cycles – feature double rollers, pivot blocks and ball catches to ensure they operate perfectly throughout the enclosures’ lifetime. Each panel is tested to BS EN14428+A1 (2008), which represents the impact of being hit by a 125kg person falling over.
