There were more than 3,000 entries for the prestigious CIOB digital photography competition.

Daredevil

The image above (copyright Ata Adnan), taken by a doctor from Bangladesh, won the top prize. Daredevil, his image of a child climbing across the arch of a bridge, is an example of the interaction between humans and architecture – and was a worthy winner of the competition. .

There were 12 runners up in the shortlist from Denmark, USA, Iceland, Hong Kong, India, Spain and the UK.

Located in Charlton, South London, SWA member West Leigh was established during the Blitz, in 1943. During the destruction in London, the company helped in repairing windows and facades that had been damaged by bombings throughout the city.
