BM TRADA fire safety seminar on ‘New Fire Protection Measures – Understanding Your Responsibilities’ to be held at the University of Leeds on 3 December.

Due to the high demand, BM TRADA, part of the Exova Group, has added this new date to its series of free half-day fire safety seminars.   All the previous seminars have sold out, so early booking is recommended to assure a place.

Fire protection measures: understanding your responsibilities is half-day seminar designed to inform and raise awareness of passive fire protection and the duties placed on the Responsible Person under the RRFSO

Seminar includes

  • Introduction to the legislation and explains the vital role of passive fire protection, in ensuring life safety
  • Why correct installation and continuing maintenance is essential
  • Importance of ensuring the competency of those involved in assessing, specifying, installing and maintaining passive fire protection measures how third party certification can help
  • Considers the role of the enforcing officer
  • Outlines the consequences and costs of getting passive fire protection wrong

The programme is delivered by a panel of experts in their specific fields, including representatives from BM TRADA, the Fire Protection Association, Association for Specialist Fire Protection, Chief Fire Officers Association and law firm Browne Jacobson.

‘The Responsible Person’ e-learning course

Delegates also receive free access to ‘The Responsible Person’ e-learning course from the Fire Protection Association, allowing them to fit further learning into their busy schedules at their own convenience.
