Fast-growing contractor Boom Construction has made two key appointments, promoting Commercial Manager Joe Sharp and by tempting Ryann Peterson to join its new-look Board.
The 12-year-old Hertfordshire-based company has grown to a £30m turnover, and Peterson has been brought in as Preconstruction Director, to help the business develop into a leading go to contractor, targeting projects in the £3m to £30million bracket.
Peterson (pictured below) joins Boom from Durkan, where he was part of the senior management, heading up teams across the preconstruction process. Before this, he spent four years with Kier.
At the same time, Boom has promoted its Commercial Manager Joe Sharp to the role of Operations Director, joining Managing Director Oliver Clegg, Mark Quinn and Peterson on the Board.
Ryann comments: “Boom have built the foundations of a strong and sustainable construction business, delivering quality projects for their clients, many from repeat business. I am looking forward to working with the team to build on their success. We have a sustainable growth plan, and I am thrilled to be able to support and influence the business on that journey.”
Joe says: “It fills me with great pride being appointed as a Director of a well-established construction company. None of this would have been possible without the welcoming approach from the entire team when I joined in 2021.
“I have enjoyed every moment of forming new professional relationships and building on an already evident team ethos present within Boom Construction.”
Boom’s specialist sectors include social regeneration, new homes, sports and education, health, and commercial. It works on projects across London, the home counties and increasingly throughout the South East.
Oliver comments: “Ryann’s experience allows Boom to strengthen our preconstruction and construction efficiencies to bring an even greater focus on client delivery and preconstruction processes. Joe’s appointment will help to further improve our project delivery processes and commercial management to ensure we continue to deliver quality projects for our clients.
“These appointments are pillars of Booms continued sustainable growth and herald a new dawn for the business. We are focused on delivering the best possible value and service for our clients and this will allow us to take our performance to the next level.”
