Can I have a pencil proof LST radiator? Contour discusses…

  • 14 Jun 2019

Contour discusses the design features that it includes in its LST radiators to meet the requirements of schools and nurseries, where a primary concern is often the issue of small items, particularly pencils, being pushed through the grilles.

Small items like pencils and crayons can often end up being dropped behind radiators or into radiator covers in schools and nurseries.

However, Contour LST radiators come pre-punched with pencil proof grilles that are designed to prevent stationary or small items from being pushed through the radiator covers where they can then get stuck and cause an issue for cleaning and heat outputs.

In addition, the grilles also prevent younger children from poking their fingers through and getting caught – therefore, reducing the number of accidents.

The grille design uses 5.5mm wide radius grilles. The radius grille design makes it easier to clean being a flat surface.

By punching the grille directly out of the casing rather than using a second proprietary grille, they are easier to clean in terms of accessibly and time. They are also stronger and have a reduced level of heat loss because the air isn’t being trapped by multiple layers of grille.

Overall, with pencil proof grilles on Contour LST radiator covers, you can create a space that is safe for all.
