A Changing Places bathroom is now regarded as ‘desirable’ under the latest Building Regulations Approved Document M 2013, with many establishments also installing the company’s Palma Vita automatic shower toilet.

The Changing places toilet allows the centre to meet ‘good practice’ guidelines under BS8300:2009 for all new build and refurbishment projects.

Changing Places facilities are a minimum of 12m2 and include an easily accessible toilet room with a hoist, changing bench and privacy screen.

The library is the first local authority site in Birmingham city centre to install the Changing Places hygiene room.
