Paul Godwin said: “A key part of our seminars and content programme at the Build Show will be focussing on skills, learning and development and this requires time to plan. Pushing the event back will allow longer to produce something appropriate to the needs of the industry.”

Launched by the organisers of the FIT Show (Fabricator Installer Trade Show), the new exhibition is aimed at builders and contractors and those working in the refurbishment and home improvement industries.

BM TRADA will be kick starting the scheme at stand U800, with a series of videos demonstrating how the correct installation of fire stopping can prevent the spread of fire and smoke in a building.

The Build Show recently pledged its support to the Cut the VAT Campaign Coalition, after research found that a reduction in VAT on housing renovation and repair could generate more than 42,000 construction jobs and boost the UK economy by more than £15 billion.
