A topping out ceremony was held to celebrate the company’s progression, with Novus chairman, Stuart Seddon and Steelite chief executive, Kevin Oakes, signing the highest steel rafter inside the extension from a cherry picker.

New glazing systems were installed to the blocked off windows and roofing work was carried out in order to restore the department store to its former condition.

External redecoration has also been carried out during six weeks of work at the Knavesmire Stand at York Racecourse, with fire retardant paint applied to the stand in order to meet regulations.

The team also completed work for Stockport Homes, applying a fire-retardant coating to staircases, corridors, lift lobbies and a reception area at Hollywood Towers.
