Cembrit extends UK operations and services

  • 13 Mar 2017

Cembrit has started to expand its operation throughout the UK, with the opening of several new depots and the appointment of customer service, logistics, and operations experts.

So far this year, Cembrit has opened a dedicated factory in Hungary and began to pursue new markets. It has extended its existing range of natural and fibre cement slate to include corrugated sheets, building boards and claddings.

Its product range will be stocked and sold from three new hub operations in Normanton, Reading and Llandow.

The Reading depot, which will become fully operational this month, will feature a training centre and a showroom. Meeting rooms have been included to give London-based specifiers a place to discuss cladding projects and familiarise themselves with Cembrit’s comprehensive range.

The company has also created a customer service department, consisting of 12 dedicated recruits based across the new depots. They will report to customer services expert, Steve Walden. The department will be supported by a supply chain and logistics operation of 13 additional personnel.

New Cembrit headquarters

Furthermore, Cembrit has opened its new UK headquarters at the Thames Innovation Centre in Erith, Kent. The new premises offers more efficient office space and a sample facility, which enables the company to showcase its complete range of products to visitors.

Cembrit’s new supply chain department is located at Head Office, where employees will work to support the logistics and operations personnel at the company’s four depots.

Designed to improve availability and response to Cembrit customers across the UK, the new departmental structure hopes to set the foundations for future growth.
