Cembrit Holdings A/S has introduced a new visual identity, including a new website, logo and strapline to mark the beginning of a “new era” for the building materials group.
The Danish building materials group was taken over last year, and has since undertaken a strategic shift from its origins manufacturing corrugated sheets to becoming a service-orientated supplier of fibre-cement building products, specialising in façade solutions.
Cembrit Holdings has also launched a new international identity – unifying the group’s 17 subsidiaries across Europe and focusing on supporting users of Cembrit in addition to its extensive product portfolio.
Cembrit UK has announced the appointment of Thomas Heldgaard as the company’s new Managing Director, as well as three customer-facing personnel in London and North Wales.
Thomas is an MBA qualified professional with experience in the UK construction industry. He commented:
“I am pleased to be joining a company with such a good reputation for extra special service to British roofing and cladding traders with state of the art fibre cement products, and with a wonderful heritage in natural slate which is core to Cembrit Group’s activities.
Additionally, for the first time in its history Cembrit has a unified identity and communication strategy across Europe, and I’m really looking forward to transmitting what this represents to our many customers and partners in the UK.
Our new brand strapline, Building Better Days, captures the emphasis on service in our approach to the market as well as our understanding of the human element of the design, construction and use of the buildings for which Cembrit products are supplied. The change of presentation signals investment in staff and resources such as our Normanton depot and new website.”
Cembrit will also be opening a larger branch in Normanton, West Yorkshire. Already Cembrit’s key location for cladding and corrugated sheeting, the outlet will see the investment targeting an increased emphasis on its natural slate offering.

The key is to tender using Tobermore’s Secura modular concrete block retaining walls rather than the default masonry specification & the Secura Portal, an online tool.
