Changing Places accessible toilet installed at LG Arena

A Palma Vita automatic wash and dry toilet is incorporated

Larger than a conventional wheelchair accessible toilet, the Changing Places toilet includes additional equipment such as a hoist and adult sized height adjustable changing bench to improve accessibility.

A Palma Vita automatic wash and dry toilet was also incorporated featuring in-built douching and drying to eliminate the need for the user or carer to wipe clean with toilet paper.

The Changing Places facility allows anyone who needs the help of a carer to toilet in a private environment, eliminating the need to be changed on the floor or have to find alternative washrooms.

The LG Arena has a further eleven conventional wheelchair accessible toilets, alongside larger stalls in the main public toilets for ambulant disabled people and a wheelchair accessible dressing room with a shower.

Changing Places facilities have been classed as ‘desirable’ in any building which the public has access to under the latest Building Regulations, with over 600 of them being supplied by Clos-o-Mat across the UK.
