Charcon specification team continues to grow

  • 1 Feb 2017

Patricia Madingou has been welcomed to Charcon, the commercial hard landscaping division of Aggregate Industries as the Specification Manager.

Charcon has recently seen a succession of new roles which Charcon has invested in with a view to enhance relationships with key customers and explore new business leads nationwide.

The area south-east of the M25 is a recognised hot spot for building and construction and Patricia will be covering the area. The construction industry within the South East is in growth.

Construction within this region had the fastest growth rate (13.2%) within the UK in 2014, according to a recent report from Barbour ABI. The value of contracts awarded in the region sees an increase of 46.9% year on year – totalling £7.3 billion in 2015.

The business will now be able to explore this untapped potential following the appointment of a dedicated specification manager in the area, advising key decision makers on the best commercial hard landscaping products for their relevant projects and applications.

Having previously worked for three years as a sales manager for Bradstone International, Patricia brings a wealth of experience to Charcon. Consequently, Charcon can now develop new relationships with architects, specifiers and local authorities due to its force of seven industry experts strategically positioned across the UK, focussing particularly on the recognised growth areas of nature stone and permeable paving.

Patricia commented on joining the Charcon team, that it enables the business to provide an enhanced level of service to existing customers, as well as reaching out to new prospects.

National Specification Manager at Charcon, Clinton Young added that with the Chancellor announcing major investments in housing infrastructure, roads and local transport, Charcon is anticipating a surge of products entering design stage and Patricia will be well placed in the South East to meet demand.
