Closomat is Changing Places at Legoland®

  • 3 Jul 2018

Closomat has made the UK’s most visited children’s theme park more accessible by supplying LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort with a Changing Places assisted toilet.

The Changing Places room enables anyone who needs additional support with personal care to address those needs in an appropriate environment whilst out in public.

Under Building Regulations and British Standards (BS8300:2018), a Changing Places should be provided in any facilities to which numbers of the public have access, and/or spend a length of time. The facility gives users more space, with a ceiling track hoist, privacy screen, height adjustable washbasin and adult-sized mobile changing bench.

With existing wheelchair accessible toilets in all WC blocks around the venue, Legoland® now offers full accessibility to visitors to the attraction.

Andrew Edwards, LEGOLAND ® Windsor Resort Guest Operations Manager concludes: “We know the Changing Places facility is going to make such a difference to our guests who need extra support, either from carer(s) and/or equipment. It means those guests can now come, and stay longer, knowing there are suitable facilities for them. We’re looking forward to them having the chance to try it out.”
