Commercial condensing boiler installed in sheltered housing dwelling

The ARES Tec commercial condensing boiler was installed to heat the 40 flats in St. Mary’s Court

Having previously worked with Alpha, Orion Building Engineering Services’ Simon Heller recommended its ARES Tec 440kW boiler for installation in St. Mary’s Court.

With the ability to manage high heating demands, the ARES Tec was able to supply the building’s 40 flats with hot water and heating throughout the day.

Designed to be flexible, the boiler also allows each tenant to control the temperature in their apartments to suit their individual requirements.

An energy efficient solution

By working according to demand, the ARES Tec boiler is able to lower an establishment’s energy costs.

It is built with a number of self-contained heat modules, allowing it to run on the minimum output of a single module when demands for the boiler are low.

The heat modules, which each have a fan and a down-firing pre-mix burner, also help to make the ARES Tec 30% more efficient than a standard non-condensing boiler when operating in peak times or during the winter.

To keep fuel consumption at a minimum, Alpha’s E8 controls manage the boiler’s operating times to ensure that it is only in use when necessary.

The E8 controls are also able to maintain the boiler’s performance and assess its heat modules to make sure that they are in correct working order.
