Concrete waterproofing system specified for site near footie stadium

  • 10 Sep 2014

The construction involved the installation of a watertight concrete base slab with welded sheet piled walls and a concrete capping beam, used to produce a Type B integral waterproofing solution to BS8102:2009 standards.

Some 800 4.1kg bags of TT Admix were supplied upon completion of the work, with around 120 being used for the capping beam which was finished in four pours.

The construction joints used for the watertight concrete slab pours were waterproofed using Triton’s Waterstop, held in place with TT Swellseal Mastic, with the installation being inspected by the team for warranty before any pours took place.

A series of non-standard drawings were produced by Triton with waterproofing recommendations and proposals for the sheet piled wall intersection and for the capping beam.
